My participation in the South East European Conference on Autism (SEECA) 2022 in Belgrade was one of the most valuable scientific experiences related to the medical understanding of autism spectrum disorders. The conference provides a unique international platform that brings together leading physicians, researchers, and clinicians dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions.

SEECA consistently promotes a modern perspective on autism as a complex, multifactorial medical condition that requires a comprehensive and interdisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic approach. The conference program presented the latest scientific findings on key biological mechanisms associated with autism, including immune system dysregulation, neuroinflammation, metabolic dysfunctions, gut microbiota interactions, and environmental influences on neurodevelopment. A particularly valuable aspect of the event was the integration of high-level scientific research with practical clinical strategies, highlighting advanced diagnostic possibilities and emerging therapeutic approaches.

In my opinion, the organizers of SEECA are true pioneers in promoting a comprehensive medical approach to autism spectrum disorders and are helping to shape the future direction of diagnostics and treatment in this field on an international level. Both scientifically and organizationally, the conference represents the highest standards of academic excellence, and the knowledge shared during this event provides an invaluable foundation for advancing clinical practice.
