Dr. Wang Xinjun, from Suzhou Municipal Hospital and a member of Professor Qin Huanlong’s research group, focuses on the vertical transmission and pathogenicity of gut microbiota, particularly in relation to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). He has participated in five major research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, National Key R&D Program projects, and Shanghai Strategic Emerging Industries projects, serving as principal investigator, sub-project leader, and key participant. His work explores the connection between gut microbiota dysbiosis and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. He has published over ten articles in journals including Science Bulletin, hLife, and Gut Microbes, contributing to the understanding of how early-life microbial transmission influences autism pathogenesis.
